1. Nationality:

The candidate must be Indian.

A subject of Nepal or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India is also eligible.

A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India, is also eligible.

2. Age Limit:

The candidate must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age on the 1st of January or 1st of July of the year of the exam.

For example, if the exam is held in 2025, the candidate must be born between January 1, 2006, and July 1, 2008.

3. Educational Qualification:

Army Wing: The candidate must have passed 12th class of the 10+2 pattern or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Air Force and Naval Wings: The candidate must have passed 12th class with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board.

4. Marital Status:

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.

Candidates must not be married at the time of joining the academy.

5. Physical Standards:

The candidate must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards to ensure they are fit for service in the armed forces.

The medical examination is conducted by a Board of Medical Officers at the NDA and other designated medical centers.
